This situation warranted a quick and easy sell. Offerpad was contacted, offer made and contract between the parties signed. The price agreed upon was deemed fair by the seller. On May 8, 2024 Taylor Wade called ( a few days before closing) to advise that OfferPad needed to reduce the sale by $15,000.00. According to Taylor, “This never happens BUT OfferPad feels they can not sell the house for $207,850 and is now offering $192,850”. We were shocked! We were told that if the new offer was not accepted (even though there was a signed contract) OfferPad will cancel the contract. Due to the nature of the situation on the seller side, funds were needed to assist and elderly relative. Our backs were against the wall. SHAME ON YOU OFFERPAD for taking advantage of an elderly man and not living up to the original contract. Don’t worry we will be sure to let everyone know of your shady business practices!!!!!
