Can you believe 2022 is almost over? Feels like just yesterday we were trying to remind ourselves to write 2022 instead of 2021 (the struggle is real ). As we look ahead to 2023, we wanted to put a different twist on our typical EOY review.
Earlier this year, we expanded into seven new markets across the country – bringing our all-in-one real estate solutions to thousands of more home sellers and seekers. That was pretty big, but what we think is more important is the human and charitable investments we make in the cities and towns we serve. That’s why this year we focused on expanding our Community Giving programs.

Happy 1-year anniversary to our Employee Volunteer Program!
Just last month we celebrated the one-year anniversary of our Employee Volunteer Program. Offerpad team members can use up to 40 hours of paid time annually to volunteer with the non-profit organization(s) of their choice. We’re pretty proud of the fact that our employees have logged over 1,800 VTO hours since the program began in November 2021, and more than 1,700 hours in 2022 alone!
From playground and bed building to food drives and pumpkin patches, we’ve been able to help some incredible organizations along the way. We’re looking forward to doing even more with our VTO Program in 2023.
One tree, one home.
There’s only one planet earth. That’s why we’ve made it part of our mission to not only utilize sustainable business practices, but to make a meaningful environmental impact, too.
In April of this year, we partnered with the National Forest Foundation to plant a tree for each home we bought or sold through the remainder of 2022. So far we’ve helped plant over 7,500 trees! Did you know 100 mature trees can remove 53 tons of carbon dioxide and 430 pounds of pollution from the atmosphere in one year? 1 Pretty cool, huh? That means we’ve helped make a meaningful difference toward reforestation and removing pollutants from the atmosphere. You can read more about our partnership here.
Making a difference close to home.
Some of your favorite childhood memories might have been spent at a neighborhood park (we know ours are ). Every child deserves to have a clean and safe place to play. We’ve been able to help provide that for kids in our own backyard through our partnership with the City of Chandler. Back in June, we adopted Centennial Park near our headquarters in Chandler, Arizona. Every month (even in triple-digit heat we might add ☀️), a group of volunteers heads out to the park for an hour, pooper scoopers and rakes in hand, to make sure the park is clean and maintained.
St. Louis Playground Project
Speaking of playgrounds, we also helped build a brand new one for the kiddos in St. Louis this past summer. Back in August, Offerpad was one of six community partners who teamed up with local CBS station, KMOV and the Make an Impact Foundation to sponsor and build a brand-new playground for the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis.2.
